Steve is the master of tongue-twisting, mind-boggling alternative poetry. Over the last ten years you could have caught his dynamic performances almost anywhere: Glastonbury Festival Jazz Stage, The Barbican, Ronnie Scott’s, Hamleys Toy Shop, even Battersea Dog’s Home. For its 7 year duration, he was a mentor for young slam poets in Ken Livingstone’s RISE Festival. He rap-funks for everyone from primary schools to May Day anarchists and was a 2010 Associate Artist for Lit Up. He is currently a Poet-in-Residence for Dorset’s Off The Page project and writer-in-residence Spread The Word. In 2010 he released the first You Tube-only poems through six major live lit groups simultaneously. Steve’s first collection Bleeding Heart is published by Gecko Press. He is also featured in Oral (Sceptre), Velocity (Black Spring), Dance The Guns To Silence (Flipped Eye), The Poetry Store (Hodder), Life Lines 2 (Oxfam), This Poem Is Sponsored By (Corporate Watch), How To Be A Boy (Walker Books, 2011) and the Apples & Snakes teachers’ guide On Good Form. His poetry film, Mr Lippy’s Psychedelic Ink Dance, can be viewed here:
