Cath Drake
Cath Drake

Australian Cath Drake has performed in cafés, bookshops, theatres, festivals, at the Southbank, Tate Modern and for unsuspecting passers by.
She's been described as inspiring, witty, incisive, wry, mesmerising, lyrical, graceful and a bit clumsy at times. She can MC an evening and perform powerful sets and shows. She's performed in full length theatrical poetry shows and extended monologues.
Cath has been published in anthologies and magazines in UK, Australia and US. She'll tackle any topic... some topics she's exploring in her writing include how influences from our upbringing, sense of place and belonging, community and history, filter our perceptions, memory and relationships; how we create our own narratives of history and meaning in everyday life.
Cath thrives on running writing workshops that spark creativity with generous dollops of fun. She has an interest in taking poetry and creative writing to new spaces. She's also a non-fiction writer and her work includes award-winning journalism, writing for radio, oral history and life stories.
