SCHOOL OF DARK was Apples and Snakes' first touring poetry show for children aged 7–11, which after a national tour culminated in a two week run at the Unicorn Theatre, London in February 2008. The show took place in a secret underground classroom run by the school caretaker Professor Dark. The production was very interactive, a mixture between performance and workshop with the audience collectively writing a poem which they performed at the end of the show. After the show the audience were encouraged to send more poems to Professor Dark.
