South West
Hi, I am Gina, Apples and Snakes' South West Programme Coordinator and I’m hugely thrilled to have taken up the post and eager to throw myself in at the deep end!
As you know, the South West is one of the biggest regions and over the past few years many exciting projects and events have found their home here. Regular events such as Forked in Plymouth and the Gallery Sessions in Barnstaple have become regular highlights for the venues audiences and artists alike.
With this delicious selection of events already in place, Apples and Snakes in the South West is now working to enhance and extend the work and involvement it has with performance poets. I am looking to start a professional development programme, which will work to develop poets' skills both in a performance frame work and on an educational basis. My plan is to build on the already fruitful infrastructure and use this to give the poets I work with a helping hand. The aim is to provide support which ensures that the emerging talent of today is leading the way for all performance poets in the future.
