PROFESSIONAL SPOKEN WORD ARTISTS Martin Daws, Ben Mellor, Keisha Thompson, Chris Jam and Ali Gadema have coached teams of young people from across the region. Now those young poets are ready to Shake the Dust.

Join the 5 NORTH WEST TEAMS as they showcase their work and compete for a place at the National Shake the Dust Final.

HOSTED by Contact’s artistic director and spoken word artist Baba Israel, the show will feature a telepresence performance with Manchester’s Young Identity and New York’s Urban Word, supported by CultureHub.

JUDGED by Mike Garry, Desiree Reynolds and Joelle Taylor.

PARTICIPANTS: Sale Grammar School, Accrington Academy, Salford Academy, Chorlton High School and Young Identity Old Trafford.

SHADOW POETS: Nicole May, Louise Fazackerley, Anita Welsh, Michael Wilson and Daniel Skerritt.
